Level Up U.S. Education Fair Held in Belgrade and Podgorica

This year’s Level Up U.S. Education Fair was held in two cities – Belgrade and Podgorica – bringing together a large number of students and parents interested in secondary education opportunities in the United States.

The third edition of the Level Up U.S. Education Fair introduced an important new feature: for the first time, the Fair was held in two cities, giving families in Montenegro the opportunity to meet representatives of U.S. boarding schools in person.

In Belgrade, the Fair was held at Sava Centar, while in Podgorica, the event took place at Hilton Podgorica. At both events, students and parents had the opportunity to speak directly with representatives of U.S. boarding schools and learn more about their academic and athletic programs, campus life, scholarship opportunities, and admissions process.

This year’s Fair brought together representatives from CATS Academy, The Masters School, McCallie School, Chatham Hall, Lake Forest Academy, San Domenico School, Fryeburg Academy, Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School, and The Newman School, all of which offer students from around the world opportunities to grow academically, athletically, and through a wide range of extracurricular activities.

A special part of the program focused on the admissions process. Anya Turovskiy, a special guest at the Fair, spoke about the importance of a well-written essay and its role in the application process, giving students and parents practical insight into one of the key elements of a school application.

The program was further enriched by panels featuring parents and students with first-hand experience of studying in the United States. They shared their personal experiences and spoke about making the decision to study abroad, moving to the U.S., adapting to a new environment, and everyday life at an American school.

Connecting students directly with schools

The opportunity for students and parents to speak directly with school representatives is one of the most valuable aspects of events like the Level Up Education Fair. Choosing a secondary school abroad involves much more than academics alone – families also need to understand a school’s culture, campus life, available opportunities, and expectations for its students.

The Fair provides an opportunity to ask these questions directly to members of admissions teams and school programs, while also helping students get a better sense of what kind of environment may suit their interests, goals, and individual needs.

For Level Up Scholarships, organizing the Fair is another step in our ongoing effort to connect students and families from the region with educational institutions in the United States and provide them with relevant information before making an important decision about studying abroad.

A big thank you to all the schools, guests, parents, and students who were part of this year’s Level Up U.S. Education Fair in Belgrade and Podgorica. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
